Study says signs crucial

Signs are crucial element for enhancing a company's image, according to a PR consultant Matthew Samuels.

"They also is critical in fostering air of quality" said Samuels "Signs serve both informational and interpretive purposes."

A study showed van signs should be brief and include specific, factual information while fascia signs should be designed to educate potential customers make connection with the resource involved.

Lauren Mcintosh, creative director of the Say it With Signs, said the study proved that quality signs are a key to the success of any business.

"A boards should also be placed near the main entrances of retail premises to let customers know that they are entering a significant place" the study states. "And window graphics should be eye-catching and bright, but with a simple message."

Mcintosh said "illuminated signs should be used to attract customers if the business in question trades after dark - studies have proven this to be the case."
