New illuminated signs installed
Several interesting items were raised at the District Safety Committee meeting on October 2nd.
Lisa Dunn, the local enviromental officer, announced that the first traffic information illuminated signs in Canada are are to be installed south of Quesnel.
The pilot project will see eight illuminated signs installed, four west-bound and four eastbound, two metres above the road.
Daniel Vardes, the Fire Officer, explained that it is a high accident area and it’s hoped the illuminated signs will help make the highway safer.
The company installing the illuminated facsia signs said they should have the them operational by the end of November.
