Lights of Hope

Lights of Hope, an annual holiday illumination ritual, is scheduled to take place in the grounds of Merryfield Hospital. The event is co-sponsored by a medical insurance company and Manchester sign makers.

The event is held annually to raise funds in order to make sure long term inpatients don't miss out on the seasonal festivities. The show includes illuminated signs, fascia signs, magnetic signs and A boards. Many of the signs were donated free of charge by Manchester van sign makers.

The Lights of Hope ceremont has been taking place since 1997 when a Manchester sign makers child was hospitalised over the festive season. "It was heart breaking to see all those kids in hospital over the festive season, so I decided to raise some funds for them and its continued ever since." said Ray Parkins.
