Still no decision on illuminated signs
The commercial sign brouhaha in Lexington will continue as the towns planning department has been unable to come to an agreement with business owners.
Since January, business owners and town officials have argued over what times illuminated signs should be switched on and off.
"We're trying to take into account all sides of the argument" Jason Fleming, Planning Committee Chairman said.
The committee will also look into fascia signs and A boards.
Planning officers discovered that many illuminated signs do not comply with regulations.
Fleming said that many illuminated signs are being used with expired permits. The council charges $500 for an annual permit for illuminated signs.
