Hello there folks, my name is Gary Threlkeld and I am the proud owner and founder of GT Grafix. I began the company on my own in 1997 from a tiny little shop on Market Street in Hyde, Greater Manchester. When I entered this business I did not know a thing. I started right off the floor and made a great number of mistakes. Some of which, customers refused to pay for! But the only way to learn is by your mistakes, or so they tell me. Anyway, for all these years I have continued to move onwards and upwards into bigger and better premises. I have continually moved with the times ensuring that the business has the best hardware and software money can buy. It has been a real fun ride and I have loved every second of it, good and bad. Today the business works out of a 3000 sq ft industrial unit and keeps a constant staff of 9. Allow me to introduce a couple of the major players:

This is my step daughter Leanne who has been with the company since November 2006. I asked Leanne to come to us for a couple of months initially and more than two years later I am very happy to say that she is still with us. Leanne is my PA and she really does run the office and the admin side of business. Leanne has very quickly picked up on all aspects of the sign business and her competent ability in dealing with our customers releases me to do what I like to do most - Make Signs!

Here is one of my sons, Joe. Joe began working for the business in January 2007 following a spell in college after leaving school in 2006. Joe's role in the business is pretty much the same as mine - to do everything (apart from the admin side). It has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for Joe since he started and he has had to learn our business real fast. I myself am a perfectionist in my work and therefore everybody who works in the business has to have that same attitude. It took Joe a while to learn this but learn it he did and now Joe is a fully competent sign maker and fitter in all departments.
